About Parts Express
Parts Express is a platform developed to address the gap between equipment demand and supply in waste management operations. It offers US-based waste management agencies an easy and efficient solution for buying and selling waste management equipment within the network. Whether the need is for containers, balers, or any other equipment, buyers can easily locate local warehouses, order parts, and track shipments. Parts Express enables users of different scales and operations to connect with manufacturers and resellers of industrial equipment for waste management and recycling.
Client’s Requirements
The client’s vision was to develop a centralized online marketplace to facilitate the buying and selling of waste management equipment. The primary objective was to streamline accessibility and foster connections between buyers and sellers across the USA’s waste management industry. Trusting Space-O Technologies’ expertise, the client envisioned developing a feature-rich e-commerce solution tailored to these diverse requirements.
Solution We Developed
After getting a thorough understanding of client requirements, our team started working on creating the Parts Express web application. Prioritizing the streamlined user experience, our team designed intuitive UI/UX and utilized Laravel for front-end and back-end development.

Parts Express Key Features
Registration & Login
Users can sign up as a normal user, independent waste hauler (operating in <4 U.S. states), national waste hauler (operating in ≥4 U.S. states), or municipality (government entity).
Search and Filtering
Facilitates users with advanced search and filtering options. It includes finding products easily with elastic search, filters (category, location, seller, brands), and sort options (price, distance, discounts).
Payment Management
Payment management integrated with Stripe allows secure, smooth, and payment options. Users can add and manage their cards, and select multiple card options for a seamless checkout process.
Product Detail Page
Allows users to get information on essential product details like pictures, category, brand, pricing, stock, delivery, ratings, variations, and seller info, along with features like social share, wishlist, and add to cart.
Checkout Process
Enables users to complete the order purchase securely and smoothly. It includes features like address entry, payment selection, order review, shipping options, and notifications to keep users posted on the order status.
Address Management
Enables users to add and manage multiple shipping and delivery addresses, ensuring accurate & timely deliveries through organized address selection during checkout.
Account Settings
Allows users to personalize their information by offering convenient space to manage their profile, view and update favorites, access saved addresses and cards, track past orders, and customize notification preferences.
Order Management
Allows users to manage and track their purchases. Provides an option to view active orders, review past orders, request returns or exchanges, and easy cancellation options for a seamless shopping experience.
Support & Help
Provides users with assistance through FAQs, live chat, contact forms, and detailed guides to ensure quick dispute resolutions brought forward from the user’s end.
Seller Registration
Allows sellers to create accounts, list products, manage inventory, and process orders. Users can sign up as OEM (manufacturer) or reseller.
Account Setup
An account set up as an OEM (Manufacturer) or reseller allows users to create profiles and set up their stores. Sellers can set up a store, select appropriate categories, and attach bank details for payout.
Order Management
Enables sellers to manage and track all the orders, including active, delivered, returned, and exchanged. Additionally, it facilitates tracking orders, changing status, downloading packing slips, downloading labels, and exporting orders in CSV files.
Reporting Dashboard
Gives sellers access to key metrics, including active orders, total views, refund/return orders, and canceled orders. It offers sellers sales graphs and time ranges.
Manage Multiple Store
Allows sellers to manage and control multiple stores from a single account. It facilitates adding and updating the store details to ensure the seller profiles are accurate and updated.

Facilitates the users with necessary assistance through FAQs, contact forms, and live chat to ensure their issues are resolved as soon as they reach out.
My Store
Helps sellers manage and get information about the product list in each category, with product details and variant options. This provides sellers with a centralized space for easy management and organizing.
Admin’s Dashboard
Gives the admin summary about user activities, including buyers and sellers. It includes information on total profiles divided into types and categories.
Parts Management
Helps admin manage product details, inventories, pricing, and product availability. Additionally, it includes attributes, brands, categories, specifications, offers, banners, and ads.
Settings
The admin can easily customize and configure the platform preferences, manage user permissions, adjust notifications, and tailor the experience to their needs.
Contract Price Management
Allows the admin to manage the contract prices according to the type of buyers and quantity of the product or services. It streamlines contract and negotiated price management.
User Management
Allows the admin to view, edit, and manage user accounts and permissions as necessary. This results in smooth access and control across the platform.
