Job Description
We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager with extensive experience in Product App Store Optimization (ASO) to drive our app’s visibility, user acquisition, and engagement. This role is critical to our growth strategy, combining data-driven ASO expertise with a broader growth marketing approach to optimize our product’s presence, attract quality users, and boost conversions. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of ASO skills and a growth mindset to refine our app’s performance in app stores while collaborating on multi-channel growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in growth marketing with a strong emphasis on ASO and product marketing.
- Proven track record of successful ASO strategies and campaigns with measurable impact on app visibility and user acquisition.
- Expertise in ASO tools (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower, Mobile Action) and familiarity with app store algorithms and guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in marketing and data analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in A/B testing and data-driven decision-making for growth marketing.
- Exceptional project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute a robust ASO strategy, improving app visibility, rankings, and organic downloads in app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store).
- Conduct extensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and store trend analysis to identify high-impact opportunities for growth.
- Optimize app listings, including titles, descriptions, icons, screenshots, and video assets, based on data-driven insights.
- Perform A/B testing on app store creatives and other assets to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Work with the broader marketing team to create and execute growth strategies focused on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue generation.
- Implement multi-channel growth campaigns, utilizing paid advertising, social media, content marketing, SEO, and email to drive traffic and downloads.
- Analyze user data to optimize conversion rates and improve user retention across all channels.
- Leverage ASO as a primary channel for organic user acquisition, while exploring other growth channels to complement ASO efforts.
- Design and manage paid marketing campaigns to support ASO efforts and maximize visibility.
- Develop user retention strategies, including push notifications, in-app messaging, and lifecycle marketing, to encourage app engagement.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on ASO and growth marketing KPIs, including downloads, user acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV).
- Use ASO and marketing analytics tools (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower, Google Analytics) to derive insights and continuously optimize strategies.
- Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders on ASO performance and growth marketing initiatives.
- Continuously test new growth ideas, channels, and trends in ASO to ensure our app stands out in the competitive landscape.
- Drive a culture of experimentation, running A/B and multivariate tests across app listings and marketing campaigns to enhance performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in ASO and growth marketing.
