01■ INTRODUCTION

Imagine: You are in on demand delivery business, and your delivery boys use eftpos machines to get the payment from your customers. The eftpos machine which costs around $30 per month. That means total $360/year. That was the problem noticed by our client. And she wanted a better, cheaper, and secure solution for the delivery vendors.

Decision: She decided to make a mobile payment app which can replace eftpos machines and provides secure and quick solution to both delivery boys and customers – the born of PayNow, rapidly growing payment collection app in Australia.

02■ CONFIDENT CONVERSATION

When our client(based in Australia) contacted us, she was confident, sure, and knew exactly what she needs from our side – a secure NFC payment app. She explained the whole problem and solution to us. She anyhow wanted the solution. So analyzing the app feasibility, we concluded that we can definitely offer her the best NFC app development services as per her requirements. Time and Resources

It took us almost 2 months to develop this POS solution. We assigned total 3 experienced full stack developers for this project, 1 for Android, 1 for iOS, and 1 for back-end development. And 1 designer who can take care of UI/UX part of the app screen. Total 4 resources were allocated for this project.

PayNow is a point of sale software that enables small business vendors to receive the payment from the customer’s credit/debit card, and replace existing eftpos machine with money-saving solution.

06■ DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

iOS Development Experience

iOS App development for Stripe credit card payments: We assigned 1 dedicated iOS developer, who has 3+ years of experience. He has worked on credit card payment app before, but the case with PayNow was different. Considering its security, it took him around 1 and half month to develop this POS system.

Problems faced during this iOS development process: Our iOS developer didn’t face any major issues during the development process as we have already developed its Android version.

Android development Experience

Android App development for accepting payments using stripe accounts:

We assigned 1 dedicated Android developer, who has 4.5+ years of experience. Same as in iOS development, this concept was new to our Android developer. He has not worked on such POS software before.

Problems faced during this Android development process: On the initial stage, he faced an issue with stripe integration as, in this case, PayNow charges only 0.5% on overall transaction. And buyer don’t have to pay any extra charge on his purchase. But, eventually, with the help of Stripe support team, he successfully completed the project.

07■ FASTER AND UNHACKABLE

More than anything else, for this mobile wallet app, our client wanted us to make as secure as we can from the buyer’s point of view. She wanted to build the trust. She wanted to build the trust that people don’t have to worry about their card security during the payment process.

We coded in a way that every transaction is encrypted/decrypted with unique token id which doesn’t save any data. That, in fact, made the whole payment process faster and unhackable. More on that, PayNow has following interesting features which we have taken from their official website.
